As Blanchet prepares to depart Monatium, she is captivated by a performance from the bard Epica. She is moved by Epica's determination to perform despite the audience's indifference. Epica, concerned by Blanchet's unsmiling expression, initiates a conversation, after which Blanchet asks her to teach her acting.
